How to Stay Fit in the Monsoons

Stay fit in the monsoon

Are you afraid from monsoon that it will throw water on your daily walk plans? Rain showers might stop you from going out but certainly not from following your fitness routine. In fact, unlike summers, monsoon makes a perfect time to work out at home. In summers, you tire easily and thus give up soon.  Monsoon gives you a better chance to push yourself harder and longer.

Try Yoga: Try to practice yoga regularly. Yoga is one of the best way to a total body workout and remain fit not only physically but mentally and emotionally too. Start with simpler yoga poses like basic movements and correct standing and sitting postures.

Make Your House in a Small Gym: Treadmills and cycling machines are great home equipments and they occupy relatively small places. You can also keep small devices like skipping ropes, steppers or a ball. Stretching exercises, push-ups can be done in a small area.

Overcome Your Cravings: Cool rain showers outside your window tempt you to have hot and spicy pakodas and bhajias but you need to control these strong cravings. You can have hot soups and home-cooked vegetable curries instead of oily deep fired snacks. Drink enough water to keep your body dehydrated.

Have Fun with Dancing on Your Favorite Numbers: Dance is not only fun and enjoyment but it also makes a great cardio workout. Listen, sing and shake your leg to your favorite dance numbers.
