Health is Wealth - Great Healthiest Yet Not Wealthiest Food Ideas
"Health is wealth", we had been taught this lesson in our childhood and are still reminded time-to-time by our family, friends, doctors and many health awareness programs.
I have heard many people saying that we don't have enough time to monitor our daily diet. The problem is more persistent among the working class. The marketing professionals, who have to be in the field mostly, just eat anything that is easily available and filling when they are hungry. And ofcourse, they can't spend much everyday on big-line fast food joint's salad and sandwiches.
So, I want to share a few healthy food ideas that would take care of your health as well as your pocket too.
- Opt for whole wheat bread or biscuits - in stead of buying white bread or regular biscuits, go for snacks that are made of whole grains. This helps in good digestion. (ex. - brown bread, whole wheat pasta, whole grain cookies)
- Eat fruits and fruit juices - these are easily available and don't cost much. Must have in a nutritious diet.
- Say no to oily and fried foods - you can eat baked or steamed items. (ex.- idli, dhokla, baked potatoes, salads)
- Drink a lot of water - drink at least 3 liters of water everyday. It flushes out all the toxins from your body and keeps the skin glowing and beautiful.
- Keep something to eat in your bag - you can carry nuts, cookies or popcorn in your bag wherever you go. They don't require a huge space and can be eaten anytime.
- Never skip your breakfast - don't leave home without having breakfast. It is the most essential meal of the day.
